Porn star Amber Rayne, who accused fellow actor James Deen of sexual assault, dies at age 31
Porn star and director Stormy Daniels told the Daily News in April that she’d spoken with the 31-year-old star just hours before her untimely death.

“She called and sounded fine. She was going into the stable. Her voice sounded normal, not intoxicated or anything like that,” Daniels said.
Rayne’s last tweet was a pair of smiley faces. The day of her death, she wrote that a friend was coming over with “wine, cookie dough & pizza.”
In 2015, Rayne was one of a number of adult film stars who accused Deen of sexual assault on the set.
Rayne claimed that Deen punched her in the face and injured her with rough sex.

The actor — whose real name is Bryan Sevilla — categorically denied the allegations, claiming “the situation was grossly distorted by the press.”
Born in Detroit, Rayne grew up in California and worked in the adult film industry for a decade before her death.
In 2009, she won the AVN award for Unsung Starlet of the Year.
Though she retired briefly in 2015, she came back later that year for a role in “Wanted,” directed by Daniels.
“Today has been a tough one,” Daniels tweeted Friday. She reminisced about shooting “Wanted” a year earlier, when Rayne was still alive.
“So much regret,” she wrote.
