Ashton Kutcher posted a Twitter photo of himself with an ‘I’m with stupid’ sign Thursday night.
So much for signing off.
Just hours after announcing he was taking a break from Twitter, Ashton Kutcher was at it again.
“Im just trying to be a good person,” he tweeted Thursday night, just hours after posting a photo of himself standing next to an “Im with stupid sign.
“Whats a picture worth? the caption read.
It was a photo his fans found particularly fitting.
The 33-year-old actor announced earlier in the day that he was handing his Twitter account over to his managers after a tweet he posted Wednesday in defense of recently fired Penn State coach Joe Paterno sparked outrage.
“How do you fire JoPa? #insult #noclass as a hawkeye fan I find it in poor taste, he tweeted.
The statement caused an uproar, with many criticizing Kutcher for defending 84-year-old Paterno, who was let go amid outrage that he did not do enough in responding to allegations that his former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky had sexually abused children.
Kutcher said he didnt know the whole story when he made the ill-informed tweet.
“As of immediately I will stop tweeting until I find a way to properly manage this feed, Kutcher tweeted after realizing his mistake. I feel awful about this error. Won’t happen again.
The “Two and a Half Men star also took to his blog to apologize, adding that he was going to turn the management of his Twitter feed over to his production company, Katalyst Media, as a “secondary editorial measure.
I am truly sorry. And moreover am going to take action to ensure that it doesn’t happen again. As an advocate in the fight against child sexual exploitation, I could not be more deeply saddened by the events at Penn State, wrote Kutcher, who founded the DNA Foundation with wife Demi Moore to help end child sex slavery.
“My sincere apologies to anyone who I offended, he added. “It was a mistake that will not happen again.”
