If condoms were mandatory for ALL companies in the US would it hurt/kill sales?
If condoms were mandatory would AIM testing still be necessary?
Would condoms make sex safer on sets?

Mike South says it best “We have enough money to offer Octomom 1 Million dollars to fuck on camera but we dont have enough money to look after and protect the performers, who are the lifeblood of this industry.
“Raven Alexis – “In this environment, both Digital Playground and I came to the conclusion that our mutual interests are best served in having the opportunity to shoot with one another on a case-by-case basis as opposed to within the confines of terms dictated within a contract created in a substantially different business climate,” Alexis said. (Could her contract terms have put her in harms way due to the recent HIV outbreak??)
Bobby Starr from Richard Abowitz on theDailyBeast “I am frustrated, to be honest,” Starr says. “I want to know who is on that list. And AIM won’t tell us, because AIM is only looking out for themselves, despite what they say about being there for the talent.”
Courtney Cummz echoes Starr. “AIM should let us know who is impacted, because we could have shot content with them and they forgot to add to the list,” she says. “Or they could be one of my friends’ booty calls. You just don’t know.”
Jenna Jameson says on radaronline “It was like a ticking time bomb before something like this happening…”It’s incredibly sad for people in the industry and especially for the girls and the families because it’s going to have a ripple effect. “It’s devastating because they’re going to have to track this back through everybody this person has worked with.”There’s going to have to be a union put in place and having safe sex is mandatory,” she said. “That’s something that I was working toward.”
Lisa Ann says in the Boston Herald that she will refuse pressure from production companies who demand unprotected sex on camera and she’s going condom-only.
From the LA Times “Consumers generally don’t want to see condoms. That puts them one notch removed from the moment,” said porn star Jeremy Steele. “That’s part of the fantasy. That’s part of the allure of porn and we should have the right to choose. I compare it to stunt work. You choose to take that risk.”
The only people saying consumers don’t want to see condoms in porn are industry people and that’s because they want to avoid the responsibility and effort to do things right. They only care about the profits. True consumers want safety. They care about the performers. Just Ask Them for a Change!! And look at Wicked who is still around after being condom only for years now, nobody wants to talk about that!!
Anyone who has ever used a condom knows if you use a clear one, it would be barely detectable anyway. This industry makes BILLIONS of DOLLARS destroying peoples lives and now they are KILLING them. Even if it were profit, has America become a country that says it’s okay to kill people for a PROFIT??
The industry has proven over and over and over again that they cannot contain disease in this workplace. CURRENT LAWS SAY THEY MUST USE CONDOMS. Regulators should be knocking down doors at this point to shut the industry down until these things happen:
First, test everyone who works in the industry and eliminate the carriers from the talent pool. Arrange/Engage systems for treatment of anyone infected. Stop bringing in anyone new until this is all settled. It’s extremely irresponsible to bring in young women who know nothing about these risks and expose them, especially now!
Second, shut down any company who doesn’t adopt mandatory condoms for ALL sex acts (vaginal, anal and oral) and stop ejaculating near any mucus membranes (vaginal, anal, oral, eyes, nose). Even better, stop all anal sex as it is the riskiest sex practice for transmitting disease. Raid those who shoot in violation of the laws and shut them down!!
Third, testing stils needs to be done, more often and more extensive. Any “medically accredited” (as we now know AIM wasn’t) testing facility can do testing. The porn industry will need to start planning ahead instead of day before calls for talent to work next morning. To do the process right, take the time to get it all done properly and safely. Test weekly.
Fourth, we keep hearing the industry will go underground before using condoms. Well obviously they already are since they keep getting away with this so fourth is FORCE them above ground. START ENFORCING THE LAWS!! Man up, California and LA, and put the staff together to investigate this and shut these people down!!
I’ve said this before and I’ll keep saying it: Nevada’s legal brothel system uses both mandatory condoms and more frequent and more extensive testing. Business is always booming there and STD stats are very good. Consumers haven’t stopped visiting brothels just because they have to wear condoms. Our society is a vast majority of mature, responsible adults who practice safe sex. Porn Valley is the only place that can’t be said about!!
You can walk into a legal brothel any time to see what’s going on and make sure the laws and regulations are being followed. Why is it that the Regulators of California, Los Angeles Health Department and CAL-OSHA cannot do the same thing in Porn Valley??
